Definately makes shifting crisp and really easy to install!
I got these (they were just bare aluminium, not gold finished but I dont care) and under hard/fast shifting definitely felt a difference. Love it!
Sweet product!! Very easy to install (about 2 mins.) Really firms up shifter!! If buying these I also recomend buying the solid brass shifter cable bushings for a complete makeover!! You wont recognise you old sloppy shifter!!
Requires a screw driver and a 12mm - simple! It involves removing the center storage console (if you have one) and the center console. Good cheap mod and I felt more doing this than the cable bushings. It was surprising since the bushings on the base (no wear) were in far better condition than the cable bushings (worn and torn). Doesn't make for a significant difference in shift quality but it's noticeable.
These Are GREAT!!! I Have A Big Difference In Shifting - Its A LOT Smoother. I Didn't Think That It Would Be That Big Of A Deal, But These Are Worth It.
Wow, I knew it would help, but it made my shifter feel like its gated. Very crisp shifting and dramatically improved precision. Great bang for the buck!
I installed the brass bushings on my MkIII first and drove with them for a few weeks since the aluminum bushings require seat removal. The brass was nice, but the aluminum really firmed it up. Like the other guy said, it almost feels gaited. Worth the money.
I love mine. Very easy to install and they do just what 2srus says they will!
