2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder built for 24 Hours of LeMons competition. Car has not been run on track in over a year and may need some safety updates (no installed fire system, etc).
Underneath, the car is a stock 2000 MR2 Spyder stripped of all bodywork. We acquired it with front end damage that was properly repaired and then a VW Vanagon body was cut down to size and attached over it. Surprisingly fun to drive and neutral handling.
Kirkey road racing seat with cover
LeMons legal roll cage
FIA cam lock harness
Extra set of stock strut/spring combos
Extra set of axles (boots on the car are ripped)
One tire is cut and loses air rather quickly. Other three are still in good shape and probably have at least one race in them (Sumitomo HTR-ZII)
Car needs a windshield. We put Lexan in for the last race, but it was not thick enough and warped out of the frame. The windshield molding is included (easy DIY installation using a piece of rope).
Car won organizer's choice at its initial outing and was the Class C winner at Thompson Motor Speedway in 2016.
This vehicle will accommodate the largest of drivers and still pass the broomstick test! (we joked that it passes a barstool test, there is THAT much clearance to the cage).
