Lower the grip point on your shifter by installing this custom cut plate from Racing Strong Engineering. This plate is machined to match the mounting holes and opening for your shifter and physically lowers the shaft into the console. A lower shifter gives you more positive control and results in shorter, crisper shifts.

Laser cut from .250" delrin, includes 3 longer mounting bolts (reuse the stock bolt in the right rear position to eliminate interference with Reverse).

Installed in 10 mins super easy. Makes shifting actually alot smoother, I think it makes the linkages more straight instead of an angle. Any ways, its a noticable difference and worth 20!

Installed on my MK1, it is a simple but worthwhile product. The drop in shift height is very little, but when combined with the "JonO Short Shift Kit" and bushings it results in a noticeable change in overall feel.
