The stock valve cover sealing washers for the 4A-GE and 4A-GZE tend to get dry and brittle as they age. Most MR2s still on the road have oil all over the valve covers because the sealing washers no long seal.

Take back your engine compartment and stop those leaks with a set of Neoprene bonded stainless steel sealing washers.

These washers replace the original Toyota part [90210-06013]. They create a very tight seal, and I would highly recommend them as a stock replacement whenever yours need replacing. They're at a very fair price, too. I would suggest using a 10mm deep socket and tapping them in with that.
