Koni really nailed the shock rates for the MK1 MR2 on their Yellow Sport inserts. I run these on my Eibach set up 87NA, and on my Ground Control set up 89SC. they have a wide range of adjust-ability, and nice ride quality on all but the firmest settings. the fact that these cars have the adjustments right on the fully accessible shock tops makes them even more desirable. Only drawback on these is the cost!
I wish I had bought Koni struts the first time around (10 years ago) instead of KYB AGX (which did not last 10 years--they were blown). I am in love with my car all over again. Buying these struts is the best money I ever spent on my mr2 (and I've spent a lot).
i just installed these on my 92 mr2 and i have to sayy that they are awesommeee they are very confortable but also very ridgid when you want them to
These struts are excellent! I have them set at 1/2 turn out of 2 turns for full hard. It is a nice ride with the stock suspension. I drive really hard on my gummy dunlop direzza star spec tires and this suspension works! Don't waste your money on GR-2 struts. I wore out my rear set in about 6 months. Even when new, they were always slightly bouncy on the rear of my 88 mr2sc. Buy these struts.
I put these on all four corners of my MkI many years ago. I have 110k miles now and the rears are still in the adjustment range, but the fronts are at the max setting. All shocks and struts should be this good at compensating for wear and air temperature in a convenient way.
These struts are amazing. Put these on my 2 and couldn't be happier. David Hawkins is a stand up guy. Bought a lot of products from here. Shipping always amazes me on how fast the delivery gets here. Definitely purchase from here again.
