I installed the brass bushings on my MkIII first and drove with them for a few weeks since the aluminum bushings require seat removal. The brass was nice, but the aluminum really firmed it up. Like the other guy said, it almost feels gaited. Worth the money.
Definately makes shifting crisp and really easy to install!
Requires a screw driver and a 12mm - simple! It involves removing the center storage console (if you have one) and the center console. Good cheap mod and I felt more doing this than the cable bushings. It was surprising since the bushings on the base (no wear) were in far better condition than the cable bushings (worn and torn). Doesn't make for a significant difference in shift quality but it's noticeable.
I got these (they were just bare aluminium, not gold finished but I dont care) and under hard/fast shifting definitely felt a difference. Love it!
